For the first time in nearly a decade I sat down at my computer, stared at a blank screen, and wrote something unique. I must admit, at first that blinking cursor was like being taunted by the French soldiers in Monty Python and the Holy Grail, but once I brainstormed and thought up a tentative title they keys started clickity-clackiting and a scene was born. Hope you all had a pleasant and safe Christmas/Hannukah/Whatever. I actually enjoyed mine, for once. And yes, I am a hypocrite consumerist whore, but how can you not be when you have family who enjoys exchanging gifts? One can only be a scrooge for so long. Anyway, the following isn’t all that awe-inspiring. To be honest, there’s a hidden message in there that working around kind of inhibited my creative control during the drunken hour that it took to write up. If you see the message, and take offense, then maybe you need to reevaluate your religion and how you celebrate it. From me the athiest to you the believer; maybe it’s time for you and God to get reaquainted. You and I may disagree about how magical that Jesus fellow was, but I think we can agree that he had some pretty good ideas. Maybe you should start practicing them instead of just preaching them.
